A two-hour live masterclass with literary agent, Ben Dunn, on how to shape your proposal and pitch your non-fiction or fiction book

Modern publishing is, increasingly, dominated by genre, sales and retail, i.e. the book trade. As a result, pitching your book has become a crucial part of ‘selling’ yourself as a writer, not just to a potential agent, but also to help with your ultimate goal: to find the right publisher for your writing. Using examples of some of the best (and worst) proposals, this Zoom masterclass aims to help you distil your masterpiece down into its ‘pitch’ form, as well giving tips on how to concentrate your CV into its most effective iteration. From writing your pitch email, to crafting your book’s synopsis, to how and when to approach your chosen agents, this session will help you with the next step towards your goal of becoming a published author.

Near to the date of the workshop, you will receive a Zoom link by email. This is a live online event only. To take part, you will need a computer or smart device and reliable internet connection.

If you do not receive an invitation link, or if you have any other questions, please contact us at info@londonlitlab.co.uk.
