A one-day course exploring explore the different ways in which we can harness the strange power of folk tales in our writing.
Write & edit a story or essay London, 16th-17th June
A weekender providing a day of creative writing time, followed by a day of intensive editing, applying a range of editing approaches to your own work.
Continuing to write post-MA, monthly workshops in Bristol and London
A critical workshop-based course for writers who are finishing a creative writing MA, or have done so in the last five years. Join fellow graduates to share and discuss work-in-progress, and get support to finish your manuscript.
One-day intensive beginners’ course London, September (date TBC)
A one-day course condensing all the best bits from our 6-week Beginning to write course, for anyone thinking about writing but not sure how to either begin or improve.
Life writing, date TBC
For anyone interested in writing creative nonfiction, or exploring real-life stories through fiction. Through exercises and discussion we will look at the benefits of recording our own stories, while bridging the gap between the personal and the public.

Critique and mentoring services
As well as group courses, we offer one-to-one services. We can provide one-off critiques of written work, whether a novel, short stories, creative non-fiction or memoir. Alternatively, we can work with you over a period of time to develop and hone one piece of writing or several shorter pieces. Please visit the Writers’ services page for more details.
